Autism in Cricket

Winners of the Inclusive Communities Award at the 2023 NDS National Disability Awards.

The Autism in Cricket program is for everyone who is passionate about inclusion in sport. The program is designed to break down barriers to participation and support individuals with Autism to get involved in their local cricket club. The team at the Autism Association are here to support you to join and be a player in your local club or to become a part of your club community in other roles.

You can also join the team via our mailing list to show your support, learn about Autism through cricket, and gain access to hundreds of resources.

Join our Autism in Cricket program to:

  • Find the cricket club that best suits your individual needs.
  • Become part of a cricket club community either as a player or in other important roles within the club.
  • Get assistance as an individual with Autism to prepare, register, and participate in cricket.
  • Join our Come and Try Days to see if you like cricket before you join a club.
  • Support from the Autism in Cricket team who are available to provide training to local and regional clubs.
  • Learn about Autism through this much loved Australian sport.
  • Receive monthly Autism in Cricket newsletters to learn about Autism in cricket, receive access to resources and supports to help create awareness of Autism in cricket.
  • Gain access to loads of downloadable resources and videos for volunteers, players, parents, clubs, coaches, and the community.

KidSport

KidSport enables eligible Western Australian children aged 5 to18 years to participate in community sport by offering them financial assistance of up to $150 per calendar year towards club fees. Find out more in the link below!
